They say it's about the size of a lime

It's been a rough couple of months at the Ahlstrom household - sickness, lots of work, new callings, more sickness. Oh yeah, and then there's this:
Yep, it's true. And we managed to (mostly) keep it a secret for almost 13 weeks - hard. This morning we had an ultrasound and saw Baby Ahlstrom bouncing around for the camera, showing us its ginormous alien head.

Even though I've been the sickest I've ever been, it took that ultrasound to make it real for me, and reality is sinking in with each passing minute.

And now I can say thank you - for keeping us in your prayers, for still being my friend even though I didn't tell you our little secret, and for sending good vibes out to our family while it took us so long to reach this point.

Now let's just pray that we can make it until October 11.

Wahoo! We are so excited for you!!

Does this mean I can tell Mason now? Watch out though. He'll try and choose a name for you and he comes up with some doozies. Remember when he wanted to name Cooper Jonas?

Glad everything is going well.
Congrats! :) Love you!

YAY!! :) How fun is this going to be, these two kids will only be a couple of months apart! I love it. Hopefully you are feeling better, I'm thinking about you. And, congratulations!!

PS, mason does pick some great names. I believe he's already chosen one for our little girl and for Jared & Amber's little boy...

Phhrrrrttt! (That's my party horn)

Congratulations! I hope Andy's taking good care of you and massaging your feet every night, like I do for AnJ when she's pregnant.

As I've been told many times, it's hard to grow eyelashes. :o)

This is great news! Congratulations to both of you and yay for more fruit comparison/updates.

Now for names...Mason does receive confirmation on very important family matters so maybe we should listen more to him. :)

Congrats, Alicia! Wonderful news and good job keeping the secret. When you're sick, it's really all you can think about, and SO hard not to spill! Hopefully you are nearing the end of the sickness and can enjoy the next few months before you are so big you can hardly walk. :) Can't wait to find out what you're having!

OMGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG!!! I'm so, so, so excited for you, Lish! And props on keeping it a secret - I can't ever do that. I can see why you would want to wait, though. Many ladies do. When I saw your post title in my blogroll, I thought you had a tumor or something. You freaked me out, Lish!! And thanks for your words of knowledge on the "should he counter offer?" question.

Congratulations!!!Dad and I are both sooooo excited! Hope that you can get feeling a little better, and I just know that Andy is doing a great job of taking care of you, right Andy?
It's been hard keeping your secret but well worth the wait!!
Love you both!!

WOW! Congrats! I'm right there with you on the sickness thing. I spend months sick but the end results is amazing and totally worth it. Hard to feel excited when you feel crummy though! Keep us posted.

Andy, good job. Your boys can swim. Alicia, it helps nausea if you where a chain of paperclips around your waste and put marshmellows up your nose for 5 minutes out of each hour.

Well WAHOO!! I am THRILLED for you! What an exciting beginning :)

This is Becky, I have to leave a message too cause I'm excited! Congrats. It is hard to keep perspective when you're so sick and I'm not sure there's a whole lot of advice that actually helps or works. It's just something you have to wait out, but...we'll be sending non-pukey vibes your way and I'm sure that Jon will put up a good fight with Mason on naming the baby. Lots of love from MO.
